SInce I’ve become really particular about the foods I eat, I’ve decided to grow my own garden. Not just any garden but a BIG one. This has taken up a lot of my time and energy so I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I’m also very involved in my community and am on the Board of Directors for a local environmental organization called, The Bayou Manchac Group.
Needless to say; I’ve been extremely stretched for time. My next few post are going to be all about Non-GMO, organic gardening. I feel like beauty has to start from the inside. Getting the inside healthy displays on the outside. The vegetables and fruits I’m growing are:
Tomatos (all heirloom and a dozen varieties)
Peppers (from hot to mild) Banana peppers all the way to Bhut Jolokia
Huckelberry
Black berry
Blueberry
Corn
Snap beans (pole and bush)
Peas
Watermelon
Cantalope
Pumpkin
Squash
Cucumber
Zucchini
Herbs (cilantro, parsley, basil, chives and more)
I’ll post more photos in the days to follow. If you are interested, I bought my seeds from 2 OUTSTANDING companies. The first is www.rareseeds.com and the other is www.mypatriotsupply.com
They both sell fantastic products, great seeds and better yet, Non-GMO! You just can’t beat that!
