A few weeks ago, Covergirl launched their Spring 2018 makeup collection. Besides the cute, new packaging and interesting formulations, there are really some hidden gems that will surely get even the most calloused makeup veteran to look twice. Since I’ve become such a brow whore lately, what better time to take a closer look at the Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow Sculpt + Set. Ready to dig in? Let’s get into it.
Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow Sculpt Review
The Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow Sculpt + Set (we’ll just call it CEBBS for the rest of the review) is a brow pomade and comes in 4 shades; Soft Blonde, Honey Brown, Soft Brown, and Rich Brown. I purchased mine from CVS in the shade Soft Brown for $9.59, but you can purchase on for $7.76 and get an additional 20% off with their promotion. Compared to other drugstore brands such as, Milani $6.47, Ardell $7.94, NYX $5.24, and Loreal $6.50, this product is averaged priced – but on the higher end.
The CEBBS comes with 0.10 oz or 2.7 grams of product. I’ll admit, the pot is TINY. It comes in a glass tub, similar to other brands, but offers something that many other brands don’t…an attachable brush. If you’ve ever tried Benefit Cosmetic’s KA-Brow product, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. It turns the pomade lid into a usable brush. Great for travel, btw.
I’ll just get this out of the way before moving further…the brush is utter rubbish. It was not well thought out. It swivels around the handle and doesn’t allow much control for product placement. It’s also too soft, but we’ll get into why later. You can just toss it in the trash, but that takes away some of the “purpose” of the product to begin with. What I’m trying to say is, BYOB. Bring your own brush.
The formula and color is great, but with a few hiccups. First the good – I love the color of Soft Brown. It’s dark, opaque, has an ashy undertone, and looks natural…natural-esque. Who naturally walks around with pomade on their brows though? The formula is creamy, glides on with ease, and a little goes a long way. The hiccup – it doesn’t set. EVER. That is probably a deal-breaker to many people. Also, the product is so creamy, you cannot use a firmer brush.
Overall, the product was poorly thought out, but I was still able to achieve a nice brow. For the price, customers should receive a decent brush that you can control, a natural-looking shade, and it should set into place. Applying brows is hard enough. This product stacks the chips against you even more. This is a PASS for me. Stick with the original Benefit KA-BROW and you will not be disappointed.

- One word – Taquitos. I’m obsessed. Have you ever eaten one? Their so good with salsa and I can eat them for every meal of the day!
- My oldest daughter is graduating high school next month. She is the one with Autism, but makes straight A’s (mostly) and wants to go to medical school. So proud! 😭
- Amos recently got a big boy harness! We are about to start remodeling our master bath and kitchen, so I had to get something for him while strangers are in the house. He doesn’t like strangers, especially men. At 300 pounds, he can be very intimidating.
