Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Review

Jordana has come out with a new line of matte liquid lipsticks called the Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color. There are 18 shades, 6 of which are brand new, and run around $4.99 each -depending on where you buy from. I found these at Walgreens and picked up 4 shades, Creme Brûlée, Tiramisu, Cinnamon Toast, and Sweet Wine Marsala. They are all water-resistant, smudge proof, and made in the USA. See Swatches below.

Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Review

I first tried these out a little over a week ago and have been hooked ever since. I like everything about them! The shades are highly pigmented, go on smooth, and dry down to a velvety matte texture that is comfortable on the lips. They aren’t drying and do not exaggerate the lines in your lips. Wear time varies depending on what you’re eating and drinking, but the 4 shades I’ve tried have lasted roughly 6 to 8 hours. Some needing a touch up from time to time. They claim 16 hour wear time on their website, but I never experience that.

The packaging is pretty straightforward. It has a clear plastic casing that is transparent to show the color inside. A nice, doe foot applicator reveals a beveled notch tip that holds a little extra product. I like that touch and thought it definitely adds to the quality. The smell is very sweet, but not artificially sweet. It’s pleasant and I want to eat it.

The main “positive” is that the liquid lipsticks are made in the USA. In fact, all of Jordana products are made in the USA or Canada. This means that they are 100% cruelty free. The $4.99 price point is exactly the same as Wet n Wild Catsuit Liquid Lip, but those are manufactured in China. Red Wine Marsala is a perfect dupe for Wet n Wild Video Vixen.

Overall, I am very impressed and can 100% recommend these to my readers. I found no real negative and can honestly say I was blown away by the quality. I will be buying more soon.

Daily Nuggets:

  1. My favorite guilty pleasure is should chips. I love Lay’s Kettle Cooked Jalapeno flavored or Zapp’s Cajun Crawtators.
  2. When I was 12, I took my Dad’s truck for a spin and got it stuck in my friend’s yard 10 miles away. My parents were furious of course.
  3. My 12 year old daughter is a saint compared to me at this age.
