Metallic Eyeshadow Look

The 2013 Fall beauty and fashion trends are in full swing with velvet skin finishes, intense metallic eyeshadows, dark berry lips, and molten metal tipped nails. I can’t help but play around with all of the cool colors and textures of the season. I used several products on my lid to achieve the intense metallic eyeshadow look.

Things I used:

Metallic Eyes

I used Laura Mercier Metallic Eye Colour in Alloy as my eyeshadow base. This cream shadow is great! It’s a little bit on the pricey side so any drugstore metallic eyes cream brand. Providing a base for your shadow to stick to helps the shadow stand out better and last longer. For a metallic eye, it’s a must-have!

I then packed Stila’s Diamond Lil shadow on my top and lower lids. This is a greyish brown metallic color.

On the inner and outer corners I blended in a matte black eyeshadow (this one is from coastal scents and it sucks) to add dimension to the look. I also ran this under my lower lash line skipping the center.

On the center of my lid I blended in Star Makeup Haven shadow in Electra-fied. I also added this to the center of my lower lash line.

On my brow bone I wanted a matte finish so I used Jordana 12 hour Made to Last Shadow Pencil in Contuous Almond #04.

I then applied mascara and false lashes to complete the look.

Here are swatches of all the shadows:
