Our home flooded last August, so over the last several months I’ve purchased several new pieces of jewelry to replace items I’ve lost. While trying to rebuild our lives, it feels nice to treat myself every once in awhile to a few new pieces of jewelry. Since Amazon has thousands of vendors with all price points, finding the price and style I like is easy. I frequently get asked about where I get my rings and earrings from, so I thought I would share and do a GIVEAWAY to give back! Links to all and details are below. Have you ever wanted to buy a shoe and the style is a little out of your comfort zone, but you just can’t pass them up? Meet my new obsession. The Wanted Angel Metallic Oxfords are flashy, yet not too ostentatious to be obnoxious. They somehow work with every outfit – jeans, dresses, suits, and slacks, and compliment them all equally. As many of you know from previous posts, I’m heavily involved in Fashion Week in my area. From makeup to model castings to the TV show circuit, every aspect of this coming week has absorbed my time. I’m so thankful that I have this amazing opportunity to work with other like-minded people in the fashion industry. It really is SO much fun and I’ve met and mingled with the most interesting and beautiful people.
Friday, I had a chance to do 3 model’s makeup for a local TV show in Baton Rouge called Style Savvy. Each of them were extremely sweet and easy to work with. I think I was more nervous than they were! I had 1 hour 45 minutes to do their makeup before air time (luckily it was natural makeup) and things went off without a hitch. The hair stylist and I worked great together, so when I was done with one model, she was done with hers. Perfect!
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I will not be posting for at least another week, however, I’ll be posting pictures on my personal Facebook page and (new) instagram: www.facebook.com/mandyquebedeaux or www.instagram.com/mandyqmua so please stay tuned for that! Thank you all so much for your patience and support.
Update: These are a few phone pics from Sundays shoot. The designers are MariahV and SVH. Models by The Forbes Agency #theforbesagency. Makeup by myself and Amber Leonard.

Movie Date Night
Available at Lulus.com, this outfit is cute, comfortable, and a little sexy. The burgundy sweater has the peekaboo detail that adds a little surprise to the outfit. The jeans have a “cool girl” vibe that hugs the figure where it counts, but flares out past the knee. Complete the look with a chic, black sandal and a small body chain that subtly catches the light on your back.
Also available at Lulus.com, this playful, sailor style dress is cute and breezy for a Barbecue or picnic. This also has the sexy open-back detail that’s perfect for a warm spring/summer evening. I paired it up with a tan, snake skin sandal with gold details. I kept the jewelry at a minimum so it doesn’t look like you’re trying to hard. Staying with the sailor trend, I added a bright red lip for a fiery pop of color.
Finally, the romantic date. This could be a fancy restaurant or special event. The little black dress can never be wrong in any date night situation. This one has the tiny sheer panel around the stomach and right above the chest. I paired the dress with simple, black patent leather heels with an added ankle strap. For makeup, I thought this gold cut-crease paired with a glossy red lip adds the drama.
