Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I wanted to create a 2 part nail and makeup look for the ladies that aren’t looking for the typical romantic/date night pink. This is gonna be a little edgy, darker, Vampy Valentine look. If you’re interested in seeing how to do it, then please continue reading.
I bought a Julep Maven kit from Julep.com with a birthday promotion. No affiliate links so feel free to click away. I ended up getting a 4-piece set for free with $2.99 shipping. I really like Julep nail polishes because they’re very opaque and dry to a high shine finish. They really are beautiful. If you get the chance to try them out, I highly recommend them.
I received 3 polishes in the kit and 1 eyeliner. These are the colors I received.
From left to right: Charisma, Sienna, and Jessie
Charisma is a red glitter with gold duo chrome. This is the birthstone color from the birthday collection.
Sienna is a silver khaki glitter with a hint of gold.
Jessie is an almost black purple high-shine gloss.
You do not need to use this particular brand to achieve the look. These colors are comparable to most drugstore brands on the market. This is super easy to do, so if you like simple this is the look for you.
I used 1 coat of Jessie and waited it for it to dry. This took about 5 minutes.
Next, I applied Charisma to the tips of the nails. The two colors together look great and the gloss vs. glitter stand out against each other.
I will be posting a coordinating Vampy eyeshadow look for y’all to try out. It’s just something different because I’m tired of seeing the same “romantic” smokey eye with pink shimmer nails. I need variety! Please stay tuned for that coming up next week. If you haven’t already, please subscribe! It’s fast, easy, and you’ll be the first one notified of all my weekly posts. Thanks so much for checking out my Vampy Valentine Nails. See you soon. xo
Daily Nuggets:
1. This post almost didn’t happen tonight! Our lights went out and I lost all my pictures that I downloaded online. I’m working extra late to get this back up and running.
2. I’m on day 5 of my Master Cleanse. So far, I’ve lost 10.6 lbs. but felt really tired and worn down today. I decided to eat some vegetable soup and I feel much better. I plan on drinking the lemon mix 2 times a day and consuming one meal with it. I think that would work best for my body, but we’ll see.
3. I met with the writer & director of the movie I’ll be doing the makeup for yesterday. She is so amazingly talented and such a sweet person. We really connected and the meeting lasted for hours. Just talking and drinking tea. We’re on the same wavelength. Loved her!
