When I originally bought this stupid contraption, I had no idea what I would be getting myself into. It was a product that was too good to be true. The viral video, which depicted a pretty woman with the go-to “surprised hand-to-mouth” expression, got me intrigued immediately. It drew me in like a moth to flame and I had to see if this was the real-deal. I’m talking out the Magic Eyeshadow Stamp.

I should have known better. The website I purchased from (I do not recommend visiting btw) looked legit and once I read up the FAQ page and return policy, I felt confident enough to place my order. $18.26 and nearly 30 days later, I still hadn’t received my goods and I began to worry. On their website, they claimed that the product would ship from a USA warehouse and I would have it delivered within 3 – 8 days. Overseas orders could take up to 20 days due to customs. Lies!

Does it Work? Magic Eyeshadow Stamp Review

I went to check my order status on the website and noticed that the product had mysteriously vanished off the face of the earth. The order number didn’t exist, the product was unfound, and my ip address was blocked from the website shortly there-after. It was at that time I realized that I had probably been scammed, so I issued a PayPal chargeback.

Does it Really Work? Eyeshadow Stamp Review

4 days later, nearly 30 days after my initial order, I finally receive a package…from China. Low and behold, it was the Huani Beauty stamp. Actually, it was supposed to be a trademark Vastamp Eyeshadow Stamp, but what’s really in a brand name, right? It was here and I was happy. At least, until I opened up my package on camera. Without giving away too much, hot glue and plenty of patience was an order.

Once everything was repaired, I used a conservative amount of Tarte Shape Tape to coat the inner 1/3 of the stamp. This gives enough gradient to show up, while also showing off the outer corner depth from the eyeshadow. I have to admit, it worked surprisingly well – apart from an uneven line. However, this was easily fixed with a flat shader brush.

Over top, I used a bright champagne Make Up For Ever Diamond pigment to really make the look pop. After some mascara and Esqido Lashlorette lashes, I was very pleased with the finished look. I did have some creasing, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Overall, I do recommend you trying out this product, but only from a reputable store such as Amazon. They have an excellent return policy and you can buy with confidence. Makeup artists will find this tool extremely valuable because of the time you will save on clients. It’s really stamp and go. Another great thing about this product is the versatility. You can create hundreds of looks and each one will be different. Halo eyes, cut-crease, mirage shadow, glitter – you name it. It’s all easily attainable.

Keep in mind that it may arrive damaged or broken, but a little hot glue makes it good (actually BETTER) than new! Give this baby a try and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
