It’s already the end of February and you know what that means? February Hits and Misses! This month I have several new items and a few golden oldies you may have seen from previous posts. Makeup, Jewelry, Skincare, and more! Let’s get started…
Studio Gear “In a Pinch” Gel Cheek Stain
I just completed a post boasting about this cheek stain. It’s very light and natural looking, perfect for all skin tones in the spectrum, and easy to apply. What more could you ask for in a product? $12 from Studio Gear website.
Illumask Anti-Aging and Anti-Acne
My daughter and I have been using this product for nearly a month and couldn’t be happier with it. I’m seeing real results with diminished fine lines and my daughter’s acne is improving daily. $29.99 each and to me it’s worth every penny. www.illumask.com
Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Eyeshadow
I’ve been really enjoying these Milani Shadow Eyez in the matte colors 09 Cafe Au Lait, which is the light chocolate brown and 08 Espresso Line, the deep brown. Once applied, these smudge out into smokey eyed heaven. Once they set, they don’t budge all night. These were a great buy and I’m stoked to have them in my collection. $8 at CVS.
Studio Gear Cream to Powder Blush in Natural Fig
Another Hit from Studio Gear! This is a brand that I would see in Ulta but would always walk past. Since I gave the brand a chance, I can’t get enough. Their Cream to Powder blush melts into the skin like butter and then sets to a nice powder finish. It isn’t a matte powdery finish, but it’s healthy and fresh looking glow. Natural Fig is the only one I’ve tried but I will be purchasing more.
I got these from www.Majestical.com right in time for Valentine’s Day. These are not real gold of course, but when you wear them you feel like a million bucks. They are sexy and sophisticated for a romantic night out with your man and they compliment a woman’s face and neck shape.
Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics Primer
I really wanted to love this primer. I tried and tried several times with many different foundations but unfortunately, it’s just not good. I will say that it makes my skin baby soft but that is the only compliment I can give. It caused my foundation to crack and separate in the most HORRENDOUS way. It also made the foundation collect around my nose area and under my eyes. I tried every foundation in my arsenal. It just didn’t work for me.
Napoleon Perdis Eyeshadow Palette in Seattle
These are all great colors by themselves but together in a palette, they are terrible. There is too much shimmer and sparkle without any matte shades to keep the colors sophisticated or grounded. Besides that, the shades are all good quality formulas especially the gorgeous navy. If you’re interested – check them out www.npsetcosmetics.com
Ok guys and gals! That’s it for this months February Hits and Misses. I hope you enjoyed reading my opinion on these products. Try some of them out for yourselves. It’s always fun experimenting with new brands. Some work well for some and not for others. Don’t forget to subscribe and if you have any questions feel free to comment below.
