I picked this up from my local Dollar General for less than $1 the other day. I’ve never heard anything good or bad about these glosses so I thought I’d give it a try. The color I picked up was #BLG340 – In the Mood Pink. This was the only color I saw and since it’s supposed to be a “one shade fits all” product, this is probably the only one.
You get 0.43 fl oz or 13 ml of product. The applicator is what you’ve come to expect from most lip glosses similar in packaging. Soft black plastic tip for easy application but not very precise when on the go. It may be a good idea to apply with your fingers to really get a feel for the product.
The gel comes out perfectly clear at first. With the heat of your body it transforms into a light, sheer pink that is very flattering to the skin. It does deepen a little when you rub it in, but basically this is all you will get from the product.
On the lips, the gloss is creamy, high-shine, with a slightly pink hue. It’s not shimmery or glittery in any way which I really appreciate. It also seems to hydrate the lips nicely. I enjoy the feeling of this product on my lips. It’s not sticky at all and has a subtle, but sweet/floral scent. Reminds me a lot of higher-end products! In fact, I tested out the Lorac lip glosses right before this and much rather this product.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product! I was pleasantly surprised with this diamond in the rough and look forward to a long, stable relationship…
